That it took until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a compliment to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batsmen to possess a record if not afforded the chance.

In the end, the result of Australia giving up 330 runs was captain Alyssa Healy receiving an opportunity to produce her newest gem.

When she was out the team needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm happy we have the confidence to accomplish that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, if necessary, we are confident we can do it."

That comment will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this success succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a match Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.
